Honesty is Our Only Currency

We believe you have the right to know exactly how this site is funded, how we test tools, and why you can trust our recommendations.

Honesty is Our Currency

The internet is broken. It is flooded with fake reviews, AI-generated content, and "gurus" recommending expensive tools just to make a quick commission.

When I started CH7, I made a promise: We will never recommend a product solely for the money.

We believe that trust is hard to earn and easy to lose. Once we lose your trust, we have nothing. That is why we are writing this page—not because the law says we have to (though it does), but because we want you to know exactly how this business works.

The Problem: How to Fund Free Content?

Creating high-quality tutorials, testing hosting speeds, buying software licenses, and maintaining servers costs money. A lot of money.

Generally, websites have three ways to pay the bills:

  1. Banner Ads: Covering the site in distracting, ugly ads that slow down your experience. We hate them. You hate them.
  2. Paywalls: Charging you $50 to read a guide. We believe education should be free for beginners.
  3. Affiliate Marketing: Recommending tools we trust and earning a commission if you use them.

We chose option #3. It allows us to keep CH7 100% free for you while still keeping the lights on.

What is an Affiliate Link?

An affiliate link is a special tracking code.

Here is a real-world example:

Imagine you click a link on our site that goes to Hostinger to buy web hosting. Hostinger's system sees that you came from CH7. If you decide to buy a hosting plan, Hostinger pays us a referral fee (commission).

Does it Cost You More?

No. Never.

In fact, it often costs you less.

Because we refer so many people, companies give us special discount codes and coupons to pass directly to you. For example, our Hostinger link often unlocks a better price than if you went to their site directly.

Our "Grandmother Test" Methodology

The biggest problem with affiliate marketing is bias. It's tempting for writers to recommend the product that pays the highest commission, rather than the one that is actually the best.

To fight this, we use the "Grandmother Test":

"Would I recommend this tool to my own grandmother if she were trying to build a business? Is it simple enough? Is the support good enough? Is it worth the money?"

If the answer is "No," we do not write about it. We have turned down thousands of dollars in sponsorship offers from "shady" hosting companies and "get rich quick" schemes because they failed this test.

Who We Work With

To be completely transparent, here are some of the companies we currently have affiliate relationships with. This means if you click a link to these sites, we may earn a commission.

  • Hostinger
  • Canva
  • Fiverr
  • Dynadot
  • Elementor Links

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you write positive reviews just to get paid?

Absolutely not. We do not accept money in exchange for positive reviews. Our reviews are based on our own testing and experience.

Why don't you review every tool?

We prefer to go deep rather than wide. We focus on mastering a few key tools (like WordPress and Hostinger) rather than writing thin reviews about hundreds of tools we haven't touched.

Can I trust your star ratings?

Yes. Our star ratings are a reflection of the tool's value, ease of use, and support quality relative to its price.

How can I support CH7 without spending money?

Sharing our articles on social media or with friends is the best way to support us!
